Spacescapes

For our first assignment, we created Spacescapes using first Corel Painter and then Photoshop. In Corel we learned the basics of using different types of brushes. In Photoshop, we learned how to use shape tools, filters, burn, dodge, effects, and how to wrap things around planets. I also learned how to take an image and make it into a 3D shape. The hardest part was just learning how each of the tools worked. It was also sometimes difficult figuring out how to color the images so that they looked aesthetically pleasing. With each of these I tried to use dramatic lighting, coloring, and composition. My favorite image is the top one, which was done in Corel Painter, and the bottom one, which was done in Photoshop.
